Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Mat embarked on a new journey 18 years ago when he moved to the Big Apple. He is now is an energized New Yorker living on the Upper West Side who has been serving clients since 2015. As a home purchaser during the financial crisis of 2008, Mat knows firsthand what it is like to maneuver a shaky market. He has used this to help him understand how to help clients deal with unexpected events such as the changing market, new construction, or making their way through a difficult co-op board process. As a co-op board member, Mat is a great asset when it comes to navigating the application process.
“I enjoy the process of picking and choosing a home. I want to help guide people through the experience and help them be less stressed out during the homebuying process."
Prior to his career in real estate, Mat spent several years as an educator in the NYC school districts. He holds a degree in political science from Antioch College and a master's degree in Social Studies Education from NYU. His experience in this field helped him develop great patience and the ability to help guide students towards their goals, which have proven to be invaluable tools in his real estate career.
Outside of real estate, Mat is very active in the NYC community. He is an avid runner who has complete over 50 Ultramarathons. He is also a biker and advocates for improving bike lanes to connect all of the amazing neighborhoods New York has to offer.
